Dawn in the Apartment Complex

Here I sit,

sleep in eyes,

viewing sunrise

through rose

colored draperies.

Ever so slightly

parted from the left,

offering me

the gift of morning.

Azure blue

fade to white

down dawning sky.

Horizon blocked

by almost picket

wooden fence,

orange rays

hidden by obstruction.

Dawn in the

apartment complex,

unlikely view.

Limited, yet stunning

in its perspective.

Reminds me I can't

always grasp the miracles

from where I sit.

So, I stand

Walk around my desk

throw open the door

and stroll outside.

Breath deep the

morning awe

To grasp the

magnitude of creation.
